Project description:
This installation, based on the world premiere of Timothy Nelson’s chamber opera "Songs of the Fisherman", brought together sculpture, live song, and live dance at the the Projective Eye Gallery in Charlotte NC. The poetic text contemplates the cycle of life and death and the journey through time. One reviewer stated that “the installation invited visitors to both physically and imaginatively enter the world of the opera, and to become participants surrounded by image and object, word and sound.”
