Project description:
Tantalising fragments of the lives of four women from across the twentieth century are woven together to transform everyday experiences into something extraordinary in this lyrical play by Linda McLean.
Linda McLean was inspired by the installation created by Cornelia Parker, 'Cold Dark Matter' and the script was created around the lives of four women who had lived across the same century. The script interwove moments of each of the stories of their lives and the relationships they had formed with religion and men.
The performance portrayed a slice in time and so was able to spam the 100 years that these women had lived in the live aspect of the show. There was an element of frozen or trapped energy within the story telling and a sense of the world spiralling around their experiences.
