Opera ``La scala di seta`` ( by G. Rossini) is a opera-buffa.
The concept of production implies the creative processing of text/music and free compilation of various visual images. The intrigue is based on the love triangle and improvisations six characters in Commedia dell' Arte style.
Carnival is the main character of the performance.
Six opera characters are the stylized version of the traditional masks – Arlecchino, Colombina, Isabella, Plague doctor, Capitano and Bauta.
Playing with costumes changes the nature of the character- the cloistress turns into a sexy vamp-woman, elegant cavalier- into a sadomasochist…. The situation comedy is performed.
According to the director's conception the act takes place in Venice.
The artistic concept in based on the principle of the ``theatre in the theatre``.
The project is presented in kind of model, costumes and virtual scenography. Scenographic sketches created in 3D.
