Design as Performance featured a diverse programme of live performances and participatory events at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama venues, as well as in and around Cardiff city centre. There was a range of opportunities for professionals, emerging practitioners, students and community groups, and an exciting range of performances and events for audiences to enjoy.
World Stage Design’s Marketplace provided a snapshot of what is happening in the world of design for performance now. It was be a place for makers, doers and debaters to informally meet and share. Read more here.
FOUR provided a platform for 4 x UK, 4 x European and 4 x international emerging artists/companies selected from the Design as Performance submissions to showcase their work and to further develop their practice by drawing on the unique resource of the technical and design expertise gathering together for WSD. The Intimate and The Epic was a two day symposium seeks to actively explore this field of socially engaged practice with national and international practitioners. It was about making and doing as well as presenting. Read more here.
