The delicate work of Kedong Liu

Kedong Liu’s work on the retelling of The Peony Pavilion, a famous Chinese story from the Tang dynasty, is a set so fragile but strong in its beauty.

The idea of using rice paper, glass and mirrors to build a set that hosts an interpretation of a play about the tension between the realities and dreams of young lovers is a delicate but masterful one.

Take a look at Kedong Liu’s work for yourself in the Linbury Gallery at exhibit 062
