Costume Upcycling and Richard III – introductory lecture with Simona Rybáková

The costumes for Shakespeare‘s Richard III by the Czech costume designer Simona Rybáková were designed and produced with a very low budget, using almost exclusively found garments from a theatre store.

The talk presented the designer’s process from rendering the costume ideas and developing the characters to fitting the final costumes on the actors’ bodies. The presentation jointly addressed the artistic, economical, ecological and sociological point of view.

Simona Rybáková’s lecture introduced the Upcycling Costume workshops which she will run alongside Lisa Klitten and Takis.

This event was open to all.

Price: £6
